Men's Championship reaches matchplay stages
The matchplay stages of the Grant Thornton Isle of Man Golf Championship start later this afternoon at Ramsey.
The top sixteen from qualifying have made it through.
Defending champion Paul Lowey of Rowany is first away at 4.30pm and plays Stephen Skillicorn of Douglas.
That fixture is followed by the all Douglas clash of Robert Noon against 2004 and 2013 winner Kevin Moore, Peel players Lee Morgan and 1990 winner Mark Pugh and the all Castletown affair of 2008 winner Jonathan Corke and Andrew Challenor.
In the bottom half of the draw, 2014 champion Peter Glover of Douglas plays 2015 winner Tom Harris of Castletown, Daniel Bell (Peel) versus 2010 victor Daryl Callister (Mount Murray) who won the last time the event was played at Ramsey, home favourite Danny Foulis plays Phil Christian of Peel and Island Games winner Alex McAuley of Mount Murray faces Tom Gandy of Rowany.
