An 18-year-old Island rugby union player has secured an elite two-year contract in his bid to become a professional.
Phil Cringle from Ballabeg has been selected for the Scotland elite player development scheme.
The former Castle Rushen High School student will spend the next two years training with Edinburgh.
Currently at Kirkham Grammar School, Cringle has been helped financially by Isle of Man Sport Aid and as a recipient of a Gubay 'Chase Your Dream' Bursary.
He made his debut for the Scotland under-18s earlier this year:
