Manx youth rugby player James Maddrell has been invited to attend the Scotland National under 16 Player Development Camp in Edinburgh in October.
The 15 year-old centre, who plays locally for Vagabonds and attends St Ninians High School, is supported by Isle of Man Sport Aid, which through the Sport Institute has helped with strength, conditioning and nutritional advice.
He qualifies for Scotland through his grandmother, Carol Berry from Port St Mary who was born in Edinburgh, and was identified by the Scotland selectors following time with the Scottish Exiles North-West Regional Development Group and their North of England and Midlands Group.
He also represented Cheshire at under 15 level last season.
