Seven archers are away this weekend competing at the Junior and Senior National Indoor Championships in Telford.
These include our two juniors, sisters Aalin and Kirsten George.
Aalin is currently No.1 junior compound archer in the UK and is a member of the Junior National Squad.
Her younger sister Kirsten, having been ranked No. 4 this year, has also just recently been invited to join the GB Junior compound squad.
They will shoot in the Junior National Indoor Championships on Saturday.
On Sunday the Senior Championships will be held and the Island will field five senior archers and once again Aalin and Kirsten will also shoot, but this time they will compete with the seniors.
Also travelling will be compound archers Sarah Rigby (who won the Bronze medal last year), Peter Mumford and Joy Gough.
In the recurve division, Anne Rutland and Dave Berry will shoot.
This is a very prestigious competition and will feature GB’s top archers who have qualified for next year’s Olympics.
