There was disappointment for the 'Manx Missile' Mark Cavendish at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The Isle of Man rider had to settle for seventh spot in the 168 kilometre road race.
Cavendish was in the mix until the closing stages when he tailed off as the stronger all round teams showed their depth with Australian Alan Davies coming through to win the race.
Cavendish was just under a minute behind.
For the Manx team, Graham Hatcher and Tom Black dropped out after the halfway mark in the heat of Delhi.
