Ted Davies won for the first time

The IOM Olympic skeet Championship sponsored by Sadler Agricultural Supplies which also incorporated the second and third rounds of the Manx Petroleum's Olympic skeet league were held at Meary Veg Santon in dry but windy conditions.
The leader after the first round was Ted Davis on 19 with Michael Cross second on 18 and Giulio Fabrizio third on 17.
It was the same order after the second round with Davis on 37 Cross on 36 and Fabrizio on 33.
This was also the same result for the second-round d of the Manx Petroleum's league second round with the added handicap winner being Les Devlin with 47 points.
After a short break the second round got under way and it was the same three still in the same order ,Davis 57,Cross 56, Fabrizio 51.
It was still the same order after the final round with Fabrizio in third place on 67 with Cross in second place on 76 and winning his first Olympic skeet Championship with 77 points was Ted Davis.
Results Championship 1st T Davis 19,18,20,20=77, 2nd M Cross 18,18,20,20=76, 3rd G Fabrizio 17,16,18,16=67.
