Jorgen Pettersson encouraged by countries determination
Organisers say there's a silver lining to be found in the postponement of the 2021 Island Games.
The multi-sport event will next be hosted by Guernsey in 2023; pushed back by two years to allow future host countries to recover after the pandemic.
Though this may throw a spanner in the works for some older athletes, it means younger ones will be at the age where they're able to compete.
Chairman of the Island Games Association Jorgen Pettersson says this, along with the determination shown by all countries involved, is one of the positives to be taken from a difficult situation:
