Sleight misses out at European Championships

Australia next for archer

Peel teacher Lesley Sleight missed out on the medals at the recent European 3D Archery Championships in Slovenia.

She started the competition well and posted the 8th highest score on the two opening days to qualify in 10th position.

However, Lesley admits she put in a below par performance on the elimination day and finished in 16th place.

Great Britain did come away with a silver and bronze medal from the event.

Next for Lesley is the IFFA World Field Archery Championships in Australia at the end of the month.
