Snooker: Isle of Man gets set for 2026 Home International

Two Island teams of four to face UK & Ireland counterparts

A squad of some of the Isle of Man's top snooker players will pit their skills against some of the best from the UK and Ireland in the sport this weekend.

An eight-strong Manx lineup will take on the Men's and Master's tournaments at the 2026 Home International being held in Leeds from today (7 August) until next Friday (14 August).

The meeting will see the Isle of Man take on counterparts from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Isle of Man Team Manager and Men's team captain, Darryl Hill, says the abilities that their players have shown at this competition has continued to improve over the years:

Forming the Isle of Man men's team will be Hill along with Connor Mahon, Dollin Mercer and Home Internationals debutant, Nialls Wilson.

A quartet also makes up the Master's squad led by captain, Peter Kirkham and also featuring Chris Dagnall, Paddy Delaney and Paul Smyth.

The first match for the Isle of Man will be for the Masters up against England A this evening at 7pm.

Elsewhere, the Men's tournament begins tomorrow (8 August) against Northern Ireland A at 10am.
