It was snow-close for Manx snowboardcrosser Zoe Gillings.
She missed out on a spot in the final of the Winter Olympics in Sochi by the closest of margins.
The Ronague athlete was pipped for third place in her semi-final by a few inches by Italian Michela Moioli – a photo finish just missing out on a place in the women’s snowboardcross showpiece.
Both fell as they were about to cross the line.
In the end, Zoe finished third in the small final, finishing ninth overall.
She had clinched a place in the semi-finals after finishing third in her quarter-final, earlier recording the 14th fastest time in qualifying.
More than 30 friends and supporters gathered at the Cherry Orchard Hotel in Port Erin to watch, including MHKs Graham Cregeen, Juan Watterson and Tim Crookall.
