Ramsey B got off to a flying start in their Cheshire Junior Plate tie against Southern Nomads.
Davide Mazzone crashed over for an early try and skipper Darren Ideson potted a drop goal to give them an early 8-0 lead.
However, Nomads replied with interest to run out 22-8 eventual winners.
