Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the Isle of Man Special Olympics Association.
To mark the occasion, it's been announced that plans are being put in place to invite nations to compete at the Manx Special Olympic National Games in July.
At least six different sports will be on offer over several days of competition.
The project is still at the very early stages in planning and will need great effort from volunteers and significient fund-raising.
The Isle of Man first competed as an independent nation in 1995 in the World Summer Games in Connecticut in the United States of America.
