Hardy, Butler among individual medals on first day of National Games
The Isle of Man Special Olympics squad has taken two gold medals during the first day of international competition in Gibraltar.
Yesterday (21 September) saw the opening athletics events of the Special Olympics Gibraltar National Games 2022, running from 21-23 September.
The Manx squad went on to claim gold in the 4x100m relay.
Meanwhile, Jamie Hardy went on to claim gold in the 200m with Ethan Butler and Peter Taylor finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
Hardy also took silver in the 100m contest with Butler and Taylor respectively taking fifth and sixth spot.
Today (22 September) the football competition is taking place at Olympics Gibraltar Sports Complex and got underway at 9am.
Meanwhile, the Bocce competition will take place from 5pm at Bayside Complex Tennis Court.
