Sportbike MGP seeded riders announced

Andrew Farrell to lead out class at this year's event

The top-20 seeded riders for this year's Sportbike class at the Manx Grand Prix has been confirmed.

For 2026, Andrew Farrell is set to lead out the class on the No.1 plate with Harley Rushton to follow at No.2.

Completing the front five will be Liam Chawke (No.3), Johnny Stewart (No.4) and Graham McAleese (No.5).

Elsewhere and included in the first ten riders on the road will be Eddy Wormald (No.6) who managed two top-ten finishes in the category on his debut last year.

Local competitor, Grant Thomson will set off at No.7 - he also finished inside the top-ten in the Supertwin and Junior MGP races 12 months ago.

Outside the top ten, Michael Mackinnon at No.11 and David McArthur at No.12 will be followed by a gap in the field at No.13 before Lee Hara slots in at No.14.

The remaining seeded entries include Oliver Dean (No.15); Stephen Gorton (No.16); Jack Meares (No.17); Salvatore Sallustro (No.18); Tiziano Rosati (No.19) and Richard Kay (No.20).

The Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT meetings will run alongside each other from Sunday, 16 August to Friday, 28 August.

For this class specifically, the Supertwin MGP Race is scheduled for Saturday, 22 August before the Junior MGP race is due to take place Monday, 24 August.
