Returns for Todd, Hickman and Rutter and a two-wheeled entry for Birchall

A host of road racing's biggest names - including some making long-awaited returns - are expected to be part of the 2026 Classic TT next month.

John McGuinness MBE, Michael Dunlop MBE and Dean Harrison are among the list of major competitors to line up on the Snaefell Mountain Course from Monday, 17 August to Friday, 28 August.

Meanwhile, Davey Todd is among the entries having missed this year's TT and Southern 100 Road Races due to injury whilst Peter Hickman is down to make his first Classic TT appearance since 2015.

One of the more surprising additions comes in the form of Ben Birchall - the 14-time Sidecar TT winner - who will swap racing on three wheels to competing on two on the mountain course for the first time.

Elsewhere, seven-time TT winner, Michael Rutter is expected to make a welcome return having sat out TT 2026 as he continued his rehabilitation from a crash at the same event twelve months previously.

Also among the Snaefell Mountain Course regulars scheduled to be involved are Jamie Coward, Dominic Herbertson, Mike Browne, Paul Jordan, Nathan Harrison, David Johnson, Rob Hodson and more.

Last year, the Classic TT returned after a six-year hiatus, having previously run before then in 2019.

In 2026, there will also be two new races added to the roster - the Junior 600 and Ultra-Lightweight classes - and outside of the racing there will also be a special parade celebrating 30 years of competing on the Snaefell Mountain Course for John McGuinness.

This year's Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix meetings will run alongside one another for a near two-week period from Sunday, 16 August to Friday, 28 August.
