Rider involved in incident with course car
The Jackson Racing team has confirmed that Steve Mercer was involved in the accident with a course car during last night's practice session (Wed).
The incident happened at Ballacrye as the car headed to the scene of the fatal accident at Churchtown.
The rider from Kent was taken by airmed to Noble's Hospital, before being flown off-Island for further treatment late last night.
A statement from TT Race organisers ACU Events Ltd states that Mercer is in a critical but stable condition.
After offering sincere condolences to Dan Kneen's family and friends, Jackson's end their Facebook post by saying "get well soon geezer!!"
Dan had been due to race for the team in the Supersport class.
