Success for Manx riders at Bob Smith Spring Cup

Yeardsley, Simpson and Arnold all enjoy success in Scarborough

Several Manx riders have enjoyed success during this year's edition of the Bob Smith Spring Cup Road Races.

The 2024 meeting at Oliver's Mount saw Island riders such as Joe Yeardsley, Gareth Arnold and Marcus Simpson all secure places on the top step during two days of racing on Saturday and Sunday (13-14 April).

Yeardsley went on to take victory in one of the Classic Superbike contests (Race 11) as well as a podium place of third in the previous race in the same category (Race 4).

Meanwhile, there was also success and first place for Simpson in one of the Supertwin races (Race 22) after he'd also claimed second and third in two other Supertwin showdowns (Race 6 and Race 14 respectively) along with third place in the Supersport A class (Race 16).

Elsewhere, Ramsey man Arnold was a winner in the Supersport B class (Race 17) whilst Dan Sayle was also on the podium at the weekend, finishing third in one of the Lightweight sessions (Race 10).
