Island resident Ben Swift has also been crowned a World Champion at the Track Championships in Australia.
He took the honours in the Men's 15 kilometre Scratch Race.
Swift held off a late surge from South Africa's Nolan Hoffman to cross the line first after a dramatic 60 lap race around the velodrome in Melbourne.
