It's reported young Manx swimming star Grant Halsall is battling back to fitness after injury robbed him of the chance to represent the Isle of Man at the Commonwealth Games.
Seventeen-year-old Halsall, who swims for Plymouth Leander, broke his elbow after falling off his bicycle.
Leander head coach Jon Rudd said, "It's sad, because Grant's inclusion would have meant that Leander had five representatives at the Games this year.
"Grant's in the gym at the moment, trying to get fit again. I am sure he would have done well at the Games, but we're not going to know now.
"Luckily, he's still the right age to take part in the Commonwealth Youth Games, which are being held on the Isle of Man next year, so he's getting ready for that."
