Challenging two days for IoM at competition in Wales
The Isle of Man's table tennis squad has been praised for its efforts during recent competition against UK nations at the weekend.
Six local competitors travelled to Bangor, Wales from 11-12 November to take part in the Home Nations International facing teams from England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey.
A tough first day saw the Isle of Man unable to get points on the board in the senior men's, senior women's and junior boys categories.
During the second and final day, the highlight came in the form of Isle of Man junior boys competitors William Shooter and Amit Lanin who managed to secure a 3-1 win over Guernsey.
Isle of Man Table Tennis Association has described it as 'tough going' for the other squads with some close games in which they say they were 'unlucky not to take the win'.
