Multi-talented athlete Lloyd Taggart won the fourth round of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Winter Cross-Country Challenge series at a muddy Archallagan Plantation.
The leading fell runner, who is also the Isle of Man Cross-Country Champion, entered the cycling event for the first time and took the honours on handicap.
Two other newcomers to the sport completed the podium with Peter Bradley in second and the fastest lady Jackie Lee in third.
Fastest rider on the day was Ronan O'Toole.
There was a good entry for the Junior Races too - in the younger group, Matthew Draper took the win after completing nine laps.
Nick Corlett continued his domination of the 12 to 16 year old class.
