On a new Autumn date – replacing the traditional Easter event – the change of season didn’t affect Taggart as he finished in a time of four hours, 55 minutes and 56 seconds.
Tom Cringle was second in 5.16.34, followed by Rob Sellors in 5.31.51.
Taggart also won the relay prize as he teamed up with Paul Kneen.
