BMC wins team time trial
Team Sky, featuring Peter Kennaugh in the lineup, came eighth in the opening stage of the the Tirreno Adriatico in Italy, which was a team time trial.
Mark Cavendish and his Team Dimension Data colleagues finished 15th.
The stage was won by BMC, while Cav's former team, Etixx - Quick-Step, were second.
Wednesday's stage follows a 207km route from Camaiore to Pomarance which is relatively flat for the first two-thirds or so, before becoming more undulating as the riders head towards the finish
