Ten-man Ravens claim draw at Colne

Pinnington finds the net as Higgins sees red

A second-half Dean Pinnington strike helped ten-man FC Isle of Man claim a 1-1 draw at Colne in the NWCFL Premier Division this afternoon (31 August).

After a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead when Keaton Mulvey nodded home from a Bevan Burey corner on 59 minutes.

The Manx side levelled just three minutes later though as Pinnington saw his near-post effort find the net.

Paul Jones' side hung on in the final minutes despite Charlie Higgins receiving a straight red card with 88 minutes played with the home side also finishing a man light as Ayrton Best also saw red with a cynical last-man foul on FC Isle of Man's Ben Wosser in stoppage time.

The stalemate means FC Isle of Man remain 13th in the league standings on eight points after eight games.

The Island outfit's next match will be this coming Tuesday, 3 September, away at Prestwich Heys kicking-off at 7.45pm.
