Former Island star to begin campaign next week
Former Isle of Man tennis star, Billy Harris will be taking part in the qualifiers for Wimbledon 2026 next week.
He's one of 124 players confirmed as part of the Gentlemen's Singles qualifying phase which will take place from next Monday (22 June) to next Thursday (25 June) at the Community Sports Centre in Roehampton.
Harris is one of four British competitors in the initial qualifying roster along with Dan Evans, Liam Broady and Harry Wendelken.
Four further Great Britain participants - Johannus Monday, Oliver Tarvet, Henry Searle and Mark Ceban - have earned qualifying wild cards for this year.
Having featured for both Albany and Castletown on the Isle of Man in previous years, Harris has been involved in the main men's singles draw at Wimbledon in 2024 and 2025.
Two years ago, he was knocked out in the first round by Spain's Jaume Munar whilst 12 months later he reached round two before a defeat at the hands of Nuno Borges.
Separately, Harris has also featured in the Gentlemen's Doubles main draw with Liam Broady in 2024 and Marcus Willis last year, both of which ended in first round losses.
