Manxman part of five-strong GB squad in Manchester
Manx professional tennis competitor Billy Harris will begin his Davis Cup campaign with Great Britain today (11 September).
The former Albany Lawn and Castletown Lawn player is part of the five-strong British squad contesting the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage at the AO Arena in Manchester which are running from 10-15 September.
The GB team's first match will see them face Finland this afternoon before they take on Argentina on Friday (13 September) and conclude the group stage against Canada on Sunday (15 September).
Competing alongside Harris in the Great Britain side will be British number one Jack Draper as well as Dan Evans, Henry Patten and Neal Skupski.
It's also now been confirmed Harris will make his team debut this afternoon as he'll replace Draper who is being given further time to recover after competing in this month's US Open.
The format of the group stages of the Davis Cup involves 16 nations split into groups of four with each tie the best of three matches.
Each match will involve a maximum of three sets.
The top two countries in each group will then qualify for the final eight phase taking place in Malaga, Spain in November.
Live scores and updates on matches across the tournament will be available on BBC Sport.
