Tennis: Ex-GB player to be guest coach for Island club open weekend

Castletown Lawn thinks it could be 'potential first' for disability tennis locally

An Island tennis club will host a two-day event this weekend which it believes is a potential first for disabled tennis on the Isle of Man.

The Castletown Lawn Tennis Club open event will run across this Saturday and Sunday (22-23 June) which will see a number of sessions for all ages and abilities, some of which will be run by ex-Great Britain player Tony Knappett.

All group sessions are free to attend and will be run by an LTA Accredited Tennis Coach.

The activities are being introduced alongside their new court facilities in an inclusive effort to get more people involved in the sport.

Castletown coach Neil Ronan says they hope events like this can benefit more players for the long-term:
