Five days of competition in Douglas getting underway this weekend
The Isle of Man will play host to an international tennis tournament which gets underway at the weekend.
The 2025 International Island Tennis Tournament will be held at Douglas Lawn Tennis Club from this Sunday (22 June) until next Friday (27 June).
It will see the Isle of Man welcome competitors from Jersey, Faroe Islands and Cayman Islands for both team and individual competitions.
Paul Jarvis, Secretary of the Isle of Man Lawn Tennis Association, says this will be a good experience for all involved given that the sport won't be involved in this summer's Island Games in Orkney:
Around 40 visiting players are expected to be part of the event which will start with a team competition in a round-robin format.
Following that and into next week the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles tournaments will take place.
