Bryan Sharp of Albany Tennis Club received the Lifetime Achievement award at the Isle of Man Bank Sports Awards last night.
He has been a member of the club, and involved with it in various capacities, for the last 50 years.
Associates from the club, and people from the wider Manx sporting community paid tribute to his efforts and tireless dedication, before he was presented with the honour.
Speaking to Manx Radio at the end of the ceremony, when he'd had time for things to sink in, he told us what's kept him going:
Netball: Manx Rams beaten in Singlife Nations Cup opener
Pinnington rescues Ravens against Longridge Town
FC Isle of Man keen to maintain unbeaten run on home return
Jiu-jitsu: Double European gold for Hayley Curtis
Hockey: Southern derby among Mixed Premier League ties
