Tournament plays out around challenging weather conditions
Charlie Woods and Sarah Long have scooped the top prizes during this year's Isle of Man Open.
The event - returning for 2024 - saw 16 male players and eight female competitors compete across four days from 4-7 April at Douglas Lawn Tennis Club.
Despite tough weather conditions, the opening two days saw the first round and quarter finals clashes take place before the men's semi-finals as well as the men's and ladies singles finals were moved to the indoor facility at Albany due to Storm Kathleen.
In the men's singles, the semi-finals on the Saturday (6 April) saw Craig Blackwell earn a commanding victory over Nick Reeder (6-1,6-0) whilst UK-based Woods made short work of Isle of Man opponent Nerijus Gricevicius (6-0, 6-0) in the other last-four tie.
Woods would then go on to outclass Blackwell in the men's final 6-1, 6-4 to take the overall men's competition win.
Elsewhere, Long produced a commanding performance to overcome Libby Moore (6-0,6-1) in the semi-finals whilst Rosie Manuja progressed in the other semi-final after managing to beat Abigail Grace Cowell (6-1, 6-1).
With the remaining two now decided for the ladies singles final, it was Long who'd secure the title with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Manuja.
Tennis Isle of Man is thanking the tournament committee and players for their patience and understanding with the mid-event changes.
