Two Buddhist monks from Thailand visited Ballaugh over the weekend of October 10th and 11th, to speak with the local Thai community and followers of the faith in the Isle of Man.
They were invited over by manager of the Raven public house Alan Carr and his wife, who is from the Far Eastern country.

In the absence of a Buddhist temple on the Island, Mrs Carr decided to hold a get together, so anyone interested could see the monks, in keeping with tradition in her homeland.
The local Thais were blessed by the visitors, and enjoyed a buffet of traditional food from their country.
