This evening’s Perspective takes a look at the issues surrounding copyright theft.
As millions of people around the world download music illegally, can the Isle of Man come up with a plan to stop the rot and help the music industry claw back some of the tens of millions of pounds it loses to piracy every year?
The Manx government has put forward a scheme, which is still under negotiation. On the programme this evening, its architects will explain what it will mean for music lovers – and the Island in general.
But it’s not all optimism as one expert predicts it, like similar ideas in the UK before it, is doomed to fail.
I hope you can join me for 'Thank You For The Music' – this week’s Perspective on Manx Radio at 6pm.
