Mark Cavendish's HTC-Highroad squad finished third in the team time trial, at the start of the Tour of Spain this evening (Saturday).
The event, in Benidorm, was won by the Luxembourg-based Leopard Trek team, with Italian squad Liquigas, headed by last year's Tour of Spain winner Vincenzo Nibali, third.
The Tour of Spain, La Vuelta, finishes in Spain on September 11.
