Ashley Sykes beaten 3-0 in memorial competition final
Hamish Thornton became part of Island squash folklore on Friday as he became the first champion on the new courts at the National Sports Centre.
He lifted the Manx Telecom Pronto Rosebowl in memory of Dave Karren after victory over Ashley Sykes.
The match lasted around 45 minutes with some thrilling rallies in a 3-0 victory for Thornton.
It was the first tournament played at the refurbished facility following severe flooding last year.
