'Tier 2' athletes confirmed for IoM Commonwealth Games squad

Nine individuals across five sports join Manx team

The next set of athletes to represent the Isle of Man at this years Commonwealth Games have been confirmed.

The Commonwealth Games Association of the Isle of Man (CGA) has confirmed nine athletes across five sports as part of its 'Tier 2' selections.

Alex Bregazzi and Emma Hodgson join the aquatics team whilst Joe Harris and David Mullarkey link up with athletics.

For cycling, Becky Storrie, Tom Mazzone and Ben Swift are called up.

Tara Donnelly will represent in gymnastics whilst Niall Caley will take part in the triathlon.

Twelve athletes formed the 'Tier 1' selections back in September 2021, including Mark Cavendish, Anna Christian, Ollie Lockley and Sarah Astin.

The final nine individuals to complete the Isle of Man team will be announced in April.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place in Birmingham from 28 July to 8 August.
