Another strong ride sees Cavendish in contention to the end
Mark Cavendish put out another strong ride during today's fourth stage of the Tour de France finishing fifth.
The 'Manx Missile' was once again in contention during the final sprint in Nogaro in a final kilometre which saw two crashes towards the front elsewhere.
It's more important points on the board for Cavendish and his Astana Qazaqstan team at this early stage, with Jasper Philipsen winning this afternoon to take his second stage victory in a row.
Lotto Dstny's Caleb Ewan took second with third going to Bahrain Victorious' Phil Bauhaus.
Tomorrow will be a different challenge for Cav on a 163km mountainous route from Pau to Laruns.
