Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish is still looking for his first win of 2011.
He was ninth in Thursday's third stage of the Tour of Oman which finished in a bunch sprint.
Cav's HTC High Road teammate Matt Goss was third, maintaining his overall lead in the race.
The 208 kilometres third stage was plagued by strong head and side winds.
Progress was slow and it ended in near darkness.
Stage four today (Friday) will favour the climbers, with a finish at the top of Green Mountain.
