James Toseland grabbed another top ten finish in round 14 of MotoGP at Estoril yesterday, in his first race since it was announced he'd be returning to the World Superbikes next season.
The Ramsey resident's place with the Tech3 Yamaha outfit will be taken by WSB Yamaha rider Ben Spies, with Toseland effectively trading places with the Texan.
But he didn't let, or a head cold, get to him as he rode a determined race to finish in a deserved ninth place.
The race was won by Jorge Lorenzo, who finished 6.2 seconds ahead of the returning Casey Stoner, with Dani Pedrosa third.
Lorenzo has cut championship leader and team mate Valentino Rossi's lead in the standings to just 18 points with three rounds remaining, after the Italian could only finish fourth.
