Isle of Man resident James Toseland won the World Superbike Championship for a second time at Magny-Cours on Sunday.
He finished only seventh in the first of the day's two races after a fall, but sixth position in the second race was enough to give him the trophy by a mere two point margin.
Honda rider Toseland, who switches to MotoGP next season, won the title for the first time in 2004.
