The organisers of next month's Trial des Nations want to make it clear the event has not been postponed or cancelled.
The Peveril Motorcycle Club has not received any request for the event to be called off, although work on preparing the sections has been suspended for the time being because of Foot and Mouth restrictions.
Most of the World's top riders are expected to compete in the Island at the end of September - entries close on Friday 31st August.
