Podium place for Gelder as both contest meeting in France
Manx triathlete Caitlin Gelder secured an impressive podium as two local athletes had the chance to shine at this year's European Triathlon Championships.
At the 2024 meeting in Vichy, France on 22 September - Gelder went on to finish third in the 20-24 Female AG class in a time of two hours, 47 minutes and 23 seconds.
Two GB competitors completed the podium alongside her with Amy Stoker taking victory (two hours, 38 minutes and 55 seconds) with second going to Katy Webber (two hours, 46 minutes and 29 seconds).
Meanwhile, veteran Manx Tri Club competitor Tufty Nash was the other Island individual taking part - he went on to finish in 12th place in the 55-59 Male AG category.
He posted a time of two hours, 27 minutes and 18 seconds with the winning time in that section set by Udo Van Stevendaal of Germany of two hours, nine minutes and 27 seconds.
