The Manx Commonwealth Games team is back on the Island today (Saturday) after the second most successful games ever.
The athletes spent 36 hours travelling back from Delhi after winning two bronze medals at the games in the face of fierce competition from other, larger nations.
An hour-long delay meant some more waiting for the team’s supporters and families, but there were smiles and cheers as the competitors arrived at Ronaldsway Airport yesterday evening.
At the arrivals gate, team manager Trevor Taubman paid tribute to the sportsmen and women.
