Admirers of Philip Dongworth, the sidecar rider who lost his life in a tragic accident on the Southern 100 course last night, say the sport has lost a great and popular competitor .
The 43-year-old garage proprieter from Stamford Bridge in Worcester died in Noble's Hospital after he was airlifted from the Billown circuit during a qualifying session.
