After months of buildup, TT 2010 is officially upon us.
The first, untimed, practice sessions take place this evening (Saturday).
Among other things, fans are wondering whether the dominant rider of the last decade, John McGuinness, can add to his 15 wins around the mountain course, and if the rise of 'Ramsey Rocket' Conor Cummins will continue with a first victory, after last year's podium finishes.
Meanwhile, in the sidecars, there is interest in whether Manxman Dave Molyneux can clinch victory with an unprecedented fourth different manufacturer?
Manx Radio's sports editor Tim Glover thinks this year could be the best yet in terms of the level of competition (play audio file):
Roads around the TT course close at 6pm today, with the session due to start 20 minutes later.
The mountain section will close at 5pm.
