Croatian has won numerous awards since debut in 2024
Croatian rider, Loris Majcan will make a switch in machinery as he sets his focus in the Supersport class at this year's Isle of Man TT Races.
Riding once again with the Bihui Yamaha Racing Team, the 30-year-old opt for a next-generation Yamaha YZF-R9 in 2026 in a chance from his previous choice of YZF-R6 power.
Meanwhile, it's been confirmed that he will not be involved in the 1000cc races this year and has postponed plans to run in the Sportbike TT until 2027 due to budget constraints.
Since making his TT debut in 2024, the competitor from Zagreb has earned plaudits for his efforts including a number of awards for his performances.
On this year's plan, he says: "I’m really pleased to be returning to the TT for a third year. Each visit has been about learning and improving, and I feel like I’ve built a strong foundation over the last two years.
"For 2026 I am fully focused on Supersport. I have a really fast bike, and I'm hoping for a big step forward in lap time and speed."
In his maiden year he finished 34th and 44th across the two Supersport races with his performances earning him the Vernon Cooper Newcomer's Trophy and RST Star of Tomorrow award that year.
Twelve months later, he went on to be awarded the Monster Energy People's Challenger Trophy for 2025.
With his Sportbike category plans temporarily shelved until 2027, it's also understood Majcan plans to return to the 1000cc classes in the coming years.
