Senior race moved and one Superstock event axed in revised programme
The race schedule for the 2027 Isle of Man TT Races has been announced.
Numerous changes have been made compared to this year's programme, including the removal of one of the Superstock TT races and the Superbike TT now being the first race of the event on Saturday, 5 June.
In another notable alteration, the Senior TT - which will get its 100th running in 2027 - will not be the last race of the meeting when it takes place on Friday, 11 June.
Meanwhile, the two Sportbike TT races will now run over an extended distance of four laps, compared to three in 2026.
Having been suspended over safety concerns at this year's racing fortnight, it's already been confirmed sidecars will return next year with two two-lap showdowns.
For the first race weekend, the number of races across the Saturday and Sunday has been reduced from three races down to two.
The six-lap Superbike TT will now be the opening race on Saturday, 5 June before the four-lap Supersport TT Race 1 on Sunday, 6 June.
A rest/contingency day on Monday, 7 June will be followed by a double-header on Tuesday, 8 June featuring the four-lap Superstock TT race and the two-lap Sidecar TT Race 1.
Two more races follow the day after on Wednesday, 9 June for the Supersport TT Race 2 and Sportbike TT Race 1, both over four laps.
Another rest/contingency day is then planned on Thursday, 10 June before the 100th running of the Senior TT on Friday, 11 June over six laps.
Friday, 11 June will also remain a bank holiday on Island.
The final two races of TT 2027 will then be held on Saturday, 12 June with Sidecar TT Race 2 over two laps and Sportbike TT Race 2 over four laps.
Exact timings for the race schedule are yet to be confirmed and the schedule as a whole remains subject to road closure approval by the Department of Infrastructure.
A more detailed programme for qualifying week from Monday, 31 May to Friday, 4 June is yet to be confirmed.
