Scotsman Keith Amor and North West 200 winner Steve Plater had the honour of becoming the first competitors out as the opening practice session of the centenary TT went ahead in fair conditions this evening (Saturday).
The TT grandstand was packed as Amor and Plater led off the 14 newcomers in the untimed session.
They lapped the Mountain Course under escort from travelling marshals.
Gary Carswell and Ian Lougher were the first out in the subsequent singles, followed not far behind by the returning Michael Rutter.
The first timed session takes place on Monday evening.
