Alex Turnbull triumphs at Stockport Open
Alex Turnbull has broken the Isle of Man junior record for the 50 metre breaststroke at the Stockport Open this weekend.
The meet, falling days before his 16th birthday, was the final chance for Alex to take the junior record that has stood since 2014, before becoming a "senior".
The short course (25m pool) standard can now be paired up with Alex's long course (50m pool) record that he broke in April this year.
Alex can now focus on the next level of his performance and reset his sights on the records belonging to Guy Davies.
