Douglas entered into the festive spirit with a 12-try blitz of visitors Ellesmere Port in EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three.
The victory maintained Douglas’ two point lead at the top of the table and they head into the festive season looking like genuine promotion material.
Early tries from Andy Hollis and Ryan Maddox gave Douglas a flying start but, for a while, Ellesmere Port looked competitive and pulled some of the deficit back with a Paul Millington penalty.
Douglas were however just too sharp for the Merseysiders and further tries from Hollis, Niall Killey, Gwyn Davies, Bobby Ranscombe, Kev Spicer and Pete Moorhouse gave Douglas a healthy 50-3 half-time lead.
The second half was cut short due to a serious leg injury to one of the visitors but Douglas did add further tries from Bryn Snellgrove - who added to his seven conversions - Moorhouse, Jeff Miles and Davies to make the final score 74-3.
