Two out of two for top two

The leading sides in the Island’s mixed hockey top flight both made it two wins out of two on Saturday.

Andy Whiting hit four as reigning champions Bacchas A thrashed Valkyrs B 8-1.

Johnny Callow, James Wright, Jamie Brown and Andy Vernon-Brown netted the others with Chris Thomas grabbing the consolation.

New signing Matty Grice struck twice as Valkyrs A saw off Vikings A 4-0.

Chris Caldwell and Juan Corlett scored the others to round off an impressive result.

Celts secured a fine 3-2 victory over Bacchas B, for whom Richard Le Page and Tom Wilson were on target.

Ramsey A saw off Vikings B 5-1, courtesy of goals from Sam Moffatt, Thomas Tsitos, Raj Nandra, John Verrall and Christine Kermeen.
